Name: Alichino
Mangaka: Kouyu Surei

Volumes: 1-3
My Rating:

Short Summary: Alichino are beautiful creatures that grant wishes for something of equal value in return. The story follows a kusabi, Tsugiri, who has the power to kill Alichino.
My Comments: I love Alichino's beautiful and gothic art. The story is mysterious, which just draws me in. I wish this wasn't on hiatus because I'm curious where this story is going.
-
Name: Angel Sanctuary
Mangaka: Kaori Yuki
Language: English
Volumes: 1-12
My Rating:

Short Summary: Setsuna is a high school student that has a forbidden love with his sister. He also finds out he is the reincarnation of the fallen angel, Alexial, and gets caught in a war between heaven and hell.
My Comments: I love Kaori Yuki, and this is the series that first drew me to her works. The art is wonderful, and the whole reincarnation, heaven, and hell thing makes the story really interesting.
-
Name: Bleach
Mangaka: Tite Kubo
Language: Chinese
Volumes: 1-6
My Rating:

Short Summary: Ichigo has high spiritual concentration and is able to see spirits. With this, he aids a Shinigami, Rukia, and takes on her job when he took almost all of her shinigami powers.
My Comments: I loved Zombie Powder (also by Tite Kubo) and was equally pleased when I read Bleach afterwards. This is a series I really need to catch up on.
-
Name: Boys Next Door
Mangaka: Kaori Yuki
Language: Japanese
Volumes: Short story
My Rating:

Short Summary: Adrian, a teacher with a bad past, seeks male prostitutes and kills them until he falls in love with one named Lawrence.
My Comments: Like most of Kaori Yuki's work, the art is beautiful, and the story is sad and twisted. I really liked this one.
-
Name: Bronze
Mangaka: Minami Ozaki
Language: Chinese
Volumes: 7-8
My Rating:

Short Summary: Bronze is about a "hopeless love" between a famous singer, Koji, and a talented soccer player, Izumi. The more they look for happiness, the more they seem to hurt themselves.
My Comments: This is a beautiful, "classic" yaoi series that I really loved reading. Though I only own 2 volumes of it, I've read much more than that through scanalations.
-
Name: Bus Gamer
Mangaka: Kazuya Minekura
Language: English
Volumes: Short series compiled in 1 volume
My Rating:

Short Summary: Corporations that play Bus Game each have a team of 3 that either try to steal or protect a corporation's disk of secret files. Toki, Nobu, and Kazuo are one of the teams called Team AAA.
My Comments: Of course, I love Kazuya Minekura's works, and this one is no exception. It builds up the characters and story, and I wish there was more of it, so that I could learn more about the characters' past.
-
Name: Chobits
Mangaka: CLAMP
Language: English
Volumes: 1-2
My Rating:

Short Summary: Persocoms are computers with human form, and the story begins when Hideki finds one in the trash and takes it home with.
My Comments: I actually liked the first volume. I thought it was cute and funny, but then the second volume was a disappointment, so I stopped there. It just became too emo all of a sudden.
-
Name: Clover
Mangaka: CLAMP
Language: English
Volumes: 1
My Rating:

Short Summary: Clovers are special children with amazing powers, and Kazuhiko is called on to take Sue to Fairy Park.
My Comments: I was drawn to how Clover was drawn and laid out, but the first volume just... bored me. I couldn't go on.
-
Name: Confidential Confessions
Mangaka: Momochi Reiko
Language: English
Volumes: 1
My Rating:

Short Summary: This manga is filled with short stories about issues concerning teen such as suicide, rape, prostitution, etc.
My Comments: I thought it was cool to have a series focused on real life issues, but because there aren't recurring characters or a continuous story, it didn't really hold my interest.

Short Summary: Teito is a former slave and amnesiac who was at a military academy until an incident put him in prison, and he escaped to a the church in the 7th District. While he quests for knowledge of his past, he becomes involved with the Gods, Verloren, and the 7 Ghosts.
My Comments: For some reason, the first volume felt hard to keep track of, not just the events but characters too. It doesn't make me want to read any more of it.
